IIMM (Indian Institute of Materials Management) is the Unique Institution that helps Materials Management and supply chain professionals in updating and augmenting their knowledge through various activities. Education being the main component of our mission, the Institute represents a wide spectrum of Professionals engaged in various facets of Materials Management / Supply Chain Management responsible for planning, Sourcing, control and distribution of Materials and Services. Our Mission is “to promote professional excellence in Supply chain management towards National Prosperity through Sustainable Development.
IIMM celebrates Materials Management Day on 23rd April each year. It was on this day when all professional bodies of Materials management merged to form All India Body with the expressed objective to secure wider recognition for the profession and to elevate the professional status of individuals engaged in the field of Materials Management.
Every year a theme is selected for the occasion which is relevant to current business environment. Covid 19 pandemic has brought about path breaking changes in the Supply Chain Management. Supply chain has become an area of interest for the policy makers, SCM professionals as well as general public.
The theme for this year’s Materials Management Day is “Risk and Resilience Management in post pandemic Supply chain”. In fact, this is a week-long program where various programs are conducted for the SCM Professionals on topics of SCM. In line with this theme, IIMM Vadodara branch also celebrated the Materials Management Day on 23rd April 2022. The Celebration started with Quiz Competition wherein the participants were invited from various Multinational Companies from in and around Vadodara like L & T Hydro Carbon Limited, Aarti Industries, DCM Shriram and Students from M S University. Special Quiz for Audience were also integrated as part of the Quiz Competition which made the atmosphere lively.
Vadodara Branch of IIMM is a very Vibrant branch and contributing towards enhancing the skills of the persons involved in Supply Chain Management. Apart from our regular educational activities, Vadodara branch has conducted various training programs for leading companies like GETRI, Apollo Tyres, Lucy Electric, Saurastra Cement, Deepak Phenolics, OPAL and many other organizations.
On this very important occasion, it was our privilege to have you with us Mr. Kishor Jhalaria – CEO Deepak Phenolics Limited who addressed the gathering as The Chief Guest. His experience at Reliance Industries Ltd / Deepak Group gave new inputs to the members.
Other Dignitaries who put in with their Valuable thoughts and insights included Mr. Lalbhai Patel, Mr. Malay Mazumdar and Mr. Prasanta Gupta of Aarti Industries and our Branch Chairperson Dr. Bharti Trivedi.
